Sanctuary Computer worked with Tend to build a HIPAA-compliant booking experience for dental care. Legacy medical record systems were integrated with modern technology to streamline user experience. Shortly after launch, Tend raised tens of millions in investment and received glowing press in Fast Company, Techcrunch, and others.
This project was a collaboration with Tend’s internal product design team to carefully realize their designs and interactions to bring the booking system to life. The goal was to build a seamless front-end experience for booking appointments without sacrificing precise development.
Dental practices have very specific data requirements when it comes to managing patient records, billing, and insurance. To facilitate these needs, we wrote a deep integration into Tend’s in-house practice management system.
To help patients navigate the complicated nature of medical insurance, we wrote a proprietary calculator that accepted basic eligibility information to return an accurate estimate for the cost of their care.
