ZIGZAG Climbing was granted U.S. patents following the development of innovative soft-goods and equipment systems for rock climbing and bouldering applications. The patented products were created to address durability, modular design, usability and performance requirements for real-world use, establishing new functional approaches within the category.
To support this effort, ZIGZAG Climbing partnered with Henney Design LLC during the product development process. The collaboration focused on refining concepts, advancing functional design decisions, selecting appropriate materials, and ensuring manufacturability through coordination with experienced manufacturing partners.
As a result of this work, ZIGZAG Climbing’s Link™ Crash Pad System was granted U.S. Patent Nos. 11,413,487 and 11,730,995, the first issued patents of their kind for a bouldering / rock climbing crash pad. Additional product development efforts included patent filings related to the Vessel™ Chalk Bag. These outcomes reflect ZIGZAG Climbing’s successful execution of product development supported by clearly defined intellectual property.
