The Department of the Navy SPAWAR has awarded a five year $10.3 million prime contract to Computer Marketing Associates, Inc. (CMA), an enterprise information technology solution provider. The contract again taps CMA as the prime contractor to provide Cybersecurity products and services from Forcepoint™ to meet the security requirements for the CANES Program - the Navy's next generation tactical afloat network. The contract was awarded as a task order under CMA's NIH CIO-CS Government Wide Acquisition Contract. CMA also provided the $10.3M Lease Financing for the transaction.
"With this award, SPAWAR has taken a critical step forward in addressing the pressing Cross-Domain Cybersecurity requirements of the 180 ships in the Fleet. We are proud of the opportunity to continue serving the needs of the Department of the Navy, SPAWAR, the Canes Program and supporting our OEM partner - Forcepoint™. This contract adds to a similar size award made by SPAWAR to CMA in January 2016 for security products from a complementary cybersecurity OEM," said Joe Corini, President of CMA.
