The COGAR Group Wins Internal Revenue Service Contract

The COGAR Group, Ltd. (COGAR), a leading security and protection services firm, announces that the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has awarded the firm with a contract to perform Security Watch Stander Services for the Situation Awareness Management Center (SAMC)/Threat Response Center at the IRS Headquarters National Office located in Washington, D.C.

The IRS Facility Management and Security Services (FMSS) Policy, Planning & Assessment Office provides program management and operations support to ensure all IRS physical security programs are operating in an integrated manner to protect IRS employees, facilities, critical business operations and assets. COGAR provides SAMC coverage 24-hours a day, 7-days per week, 365-days per year, including federal holidays.

The COGAR Group, Ltd. was awarded this contract as a competitive Small Business set-aside through the GSA Schedule 84 contract. The contract for the base and all option periods is valued at over $2.8mil. This is a follow-on requirement and COGAR was tasked to transition this contract in less than a thirty (30) day period with a contract start date of August 12, 2015.
