Carisam, Ltd. Awards Bulk Inventory Storage Project to Advanced Filing Systems, Inc.

Carisam, Ltd. is a large distributor of a wide-range of products serving major clients all over the globe, including Coca-Cola and Johnny Walker. When faced with having to move their bulk inventory storage to a much smaller area, Carisam Ltd. had to find a way to condense and properly organize their stored goods. Due to the nature of their products, which consisted of boxes filled with glass bottles and other miscellany, their original plan was to outfit their new facility with pallet racks. The shelving was ideal, but they still needed more storage in the space they were allotted, so a high density system was needed.

In facing this need, Carisam hired the small business Advanced Filing Systems to help complete the project. Advanced Filing Systems built a custom MobileTrak® system with custom painted Blue rallet rack to match the owner's school colors. Special carriages were designed to hold the weight of the shelves and large aisle ways were provided to make room for transport carts. The high density system provided 70% more capacity in the same footprint as the previous stationary pallet rack set up. This provided a better way to store their inventory and made it easier to access the items.
